South Korean Son Heung-min, Tottenham Hotspur player, scored four goals in a broad victory for the Spurs against Southampton (5-1), during the match that took place between them at Saint Mary’s Stadium on Sunday evening, in the second round of the English Premier League.
Sun scored the first, second, third and fourth goal for Tottenham in the minutes 45, 47, 64 and 73, before Kane boosted the Spurs’ lead with the fifth goal in the 82nd minute of the match.
Harry Kane created the four goals for Sun, to jointly create an unprecedented achievement in the English Premier League, as Kane made all of Son’s goals and it is the first time in Premier League history that one player has scored four times for another player in one match in the competition.
Son made history after becoming the first South Korean player to score three or more goals in the Premier League, the 44th country from which a “hat-trick” scored in the tournament, and he is the first Asian player in general to score a four in the history of Premier League.
Son and Ken have combined 24 goals in the Premier League, more than any other duo in the tournament since the South Korean move to Premier League in August 2015.
Harry Kane became the sixth player to score four goals in one match in the Premier League, and the first English player ever to achieve that feat, knowing that the English international striker made only two goals in the English Premier League throughout the whole of the last season.
Kane became the first player to participate directly in 5 goals in an English Premier League match after scoring a goal and providing four decisive passes, since Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, the star of Liverpool, who scored four goals and made another against Watford in March 2018.
