The first week at “Sommerhytta” is over, and several have watched with excitement from home as the four couples had to brush up on plating construction and greenhouse planting in the first episodes.
One of the couples who are in this year’s season is Heidi Stangjort (28) and Patrick Gjertsen Hernæs (27). Ahead of the recording, they have been a couple for two years, after which one and a half have been cohabiting.
– It was probably the toughest
However, shortly before the start of the season, it became known that Stangordert and Hernæs have chosen to go their separate ways. The breach occurred last fall.
– We have moved on to being friends, quite simply. It’s been a long process, but it feels very natural and very right to this day. We wish each other all the best, and this is very right for us, Hernæs told Se og Hør about the breakup.
On TV with the ex
A week into the season, Stangorjert says that she has watched the episodes every night since the start of the programme.
– Seeing yourself on TV is something I’ve never done before, so it’s a bit strange. But I also think it’s fun, because then I get to relive what happened a year ago, she tells Se og Hør.
Confirms breach before premiere
The fact that she is portrayed together with her former lover is not something that bothers her either.
– Seeing each other at “Sommerhytta” … We have been so prepared for it, at the same time as we have transitioned into the friend phase, so it’s going really well, she says and continues:
– It was something we talked about a lot when we were in the middle of that breakup too, that even if we ended up being friends, there would come a time when it would go back to where we were a couple. But we felt so clear that we were in that “friend phase”, and we had been for a while.
She emphasizes that even though they were there as a couple, they shared the experience equally with the other participants in the programme.
– That was our experience, but both there and on TV there is also a lot of focus on our gang, and our experience was just as much with them. It’s actually one of the funnest things about watching it on TV too – to see how they felt between themselves, because we didn’t see much of that there, she says and laughs a little.

Stanjort and the ex-girlfriend were together at the pre-premiere and watched the first episodes side by side, but when the program rolled over TV screens, they naturally watched it separately.
– For me and Patrick, these are two individual journeys. He can see it with his people, and I can see it with mine, and it’s going just fine.
For Hernæs, building a cabin with his ex-boyfriend on TV doesn’t rip open sore wounds either.
– It’s going very well actually. It’s been so long since the breakup itself, and I’ve processed it – we both have. Both together, and individually, he says and adds:
– We are in a good place.
Hernæs says that they have not spoken after they were together at the pre-premiere, but emphasizes that there are no bad feelings.

– I think it’s fun to watch again, and I notice that I am taken back to that time while watching the programme. I remember so well what I thought in those situations, he laughs.
