The confrontation between Frank Cuesta and his ex-wife Yuyee Alissa Intusmith continues to give new chapters. The 52-year-old television personality sparked controversy a few weeks ago after claiming that the mother of his children had reported him and intended to destroy his animal sanctuary, the personal project in which he has been rescuing, helping and reintegrating all kinds of species into nature. This Saturday, in a new video, he revealed that he will finally leave this place behind.
“A decision made as a family. On December 31, we left the lands of the Libertad sanctuary,” said the former presenter through his X profile, attaching a video shared on his YouTube channel. “Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. In this case, I lose. You can’t deal with these people. I’ve tried a thousand ways. Yesterday they started talking about lawyers, strange things… I’ve found out things that don’t even need to be mentioned, but basically the land of the sanctuary can be sold for a very good price right now, and the sanctuary is going to disappear,” he said.
This is the “big project” of his life, and Cuesta has been sad to have to give it up. The Spaniard bought the land and built the sanctuary with which he has rescued thousands of animals. However, the land is in Yuyee’s name, so the decisions have been made by her. In fact, the woman asked Frank for rent as alimony, and later demanded 225,000 euros in four payments of around 50,000 euros to take over the land, which by mutual agreement, would go to their children in the future.
Cuesta says he is very demotivated and disappointed, but that he must look forward. “I have a rental contract until December, which gives me time to look for solutions. I have been talking to my three children. I am in Bangkok and I will be going back and forth to the sanctuary, but you have to start from scratch. There are times in life when you have to admit that you lose, and sadly I have done wrong because I trusted a person who, when he left prison was fine, but after a while, especially since the beginning of this year, has not been fine, and now they are talking about lawyers, and these are very ugly things,” he continued explaining.
Third parties
Frank has revealed that he made the decision together with his children, who have been kept up to date with the case. “This morning I spoke to my three children and they said: ‘Get out of there, Dad’. So I’m getting out of there. It sucks a lot for many reasons, but it is what it is, and sometimes you have to admit that you lose. I know that in the next few months I’m going to be criticized in many places, but as long as I can say goodnight to my children, I’ll be happy,” he continued explaining.
She also spoke openly about what will happen to the animals. “As we raised nearly four million baht (more than 100,000 euros), buying land is now out of our reach. We are looking for solutions, looking for land to put the larger animals on. I know that there is a part of the sanctuary that is no longer ours and very strange things are being done that I don’t like. I have time until Christmas to move the animals little by little,” she said. She also revealed that, although she does not feel like creating another sanctuary right now, it is something that she will definitely consider at some point.
