Someone is driving in the opposite direction, the driver reported. The police released a video with an unexpected point

Police officers in Nebraska, USA, were not surprised. At night, an unknown driver called 911 to report a dangerous situation on the road. “I’m on the 77 northbound and there’s somebody who’s on the wrong side of the road,” he described in the phone call. But the man’s initially good intention eventually backfired.

The driver, police video shows, called 911 while driving. He reported that he encountered a car traveling in the opposite direction on the freeway. When asked what the vehicle was, he replied that it looked like a truck. “Then it almost hit me. I was like, ‘fuck you’.”

After the driver called an emergency operator for a while, the man was stopped by a police patrol. “Do you know why we stopped you?” asked one of the policemen. “Yes, I was driving in the wrong direction of the road,” replied the man. “Is that you who called us?” the constable continued to ask. “Yeah. I thought someone was driving the wrong way,” added the driver. “And in the end it was you alone,” the policeman explained to the man. It turned out that the driver had twice the alcohol limit in the state.

Lancaster police officers have now released the video of the March incident on social networking site X, formerly Twitter, to raise awareness of drink driving. “True story – a drunk driver called the police on himself. Fortunately, officers were able to arrest the driver before anyone was seriously injured,” the Lancester County Sheriff’s Office wrote on social media.
