Someone installed a USB-C port in an iPhone

An experimental student decided to install a USB-C port in an iPhone X.

Apple is still reluctant to switch to a USB-C port on iPhone mobiles, and many say that when it leaves the Lightning connector, it will eventually switch to portless, wireless transmission and charging.

However, Ken Pillonel, a student studying robotics in Switzerland, decided not to wait any longer and installed a USB-C port on an iPhone X mobile. It took him months of work, and he ended up sharing a video of what he had achieved.

The modified charging port is capable of recognizing a MacBook USB-Cs charger and also handles data transfer, meaning it can be used for anything. The work took several months because the original parts would not fit everything in the mobile.
