Reports seem to vary on how much has been added, with one Redditor reporting $14 has been applied.

Microsoft typically sends out small gift cards to gamers in the lead up to major events like E3. With the Xbox and Bethesda showcase only days away, the gift cards could be seen as an attempt to entice gamers into pre-ordering one of the big Xbox Series X/S releases. from Bethesda star field is set to appear, so players may be tempted to get a digital copy of the game.

It appears that Microsoft is not notifying people about the gift card, so Xbox gamers should check their accounts. If coupons have been applied, they will be displayed in the Payments & Billing tab. If past drops are any indication, there will be a time limit on when the card should be used. Previously, Microsoft only allowed a 2-3 week window to use these cards.

The $10 may not extend to a full AAA game, but Microsoft generally doesn’t limit what these drops can be used on. Players can choose to spend the cash on the plethora of indie titles available, or save it for the next big sale. Players can even use the funds to collect Cuphead: The Ultimate Delicious Dish DLC whose release has been confirmed later this month.
