Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Spurs are willing to trade Tanguy Ndombele for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.
What is the history?
According to ESPN, Tottenham is interested in signing Aouar de Lyon in the summer transfer window.
Spurs have contacted the Ligue 1 team to secure the services of the 23-year-old French international midfielder.
It is also reported that Tottenham have offered Lyon the opportunity to re-sign Ndombele in a trade involving Aouar.

As you can see from the tweets below, Tottenham fans are absolutely stunned by the rumor and don’t buy it.
Well, at least some of them.
It seems quite strange that Tottenham is willing to send Ndombele to Lyon and bring Aouar.

Lyon is asking between 20 and 25 million euros (17.13 – 21.42 million pounds) for Aouar, according to Le10Sport.
According to ESPN, the Spurs paid Lyon € 60 million (£ 51.40 million) in 2019 to sign Ndombele.
A direct trade would spell a huge loss for Spurs, while Lyon is unlikely to pay much to sign Ndombele on a more player cash deal.
It seems that this potential swap deal is unlikely to occur.

Aouar is available for £ 25 million. If you honestly think Daniel Levy would trade Ndombele, who we turned down offers of more than 45 million pounds last year and who also had a great season, then you need to get his head checked.
