Some theaters in Japan canceled the screening of the “Avatar” sequel due to weak equipment

Bloomberg edition saidthat opening screenings of Avatar: The Way of Water in some theaters in Japan were marred by equipment problems. According to media reports, theaters have stopped renting and started giving money back to audiences.

Apparently, the film equipment in Japan is too outdated to show a technologically advanced film like the sequel to Avatar. Bloomberg writes that the problems are mainly due to the 48 frames in which certain parts of the film are played – at least one cinema in Japan has been reported to have lowered the frame rate of the entire film to the more usual 24 FPS.

A Bloomberg reporter writes that technical problems with the showing of “The Way of Water” in Japan fell on the opening weekend, which is very important for the film’s box office. According to the latest information, the fees of the sequel to “Avatar” did not reach 500 million dollars.
