Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Calciomercato revealed that Fabio Paratici is considering a move for Roma defender Roger Ibáñez.
What is the history?
Well, the Italian media outlet thinks Paratici wants to bring another defender to North London, and is targeting the 6-match Brazilian international.
Ibáñez currently shines with José Mourinho, as Roma are fourth in Serie A, with the center-back making seven appearances in all competitions.

That has alerted the Spurs to the qualities of the South American.
Paratici has already stormed Italy’s top flight in search of its current Defender of the Year, Cristian Romero, who was signed from Atalanta for £ 42.5m.
Now, he wants to rob Mourinho from one of his best players in Ibáñez.
The 22-year-old was also wanted by Arsenal in 2020.

Now, after three clean sheets in five Premier League games, it is attack that is proving problematic, with just three goals scored in those outings.
In that sense, Paratici needs to find Nuno Espirito Santo as a new attacker, preferably a source of creativity.

As of September 14, Tottenham had created the same number of clear scoring chances as Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sánchez. One. (Who scored).
That is simply unacceptable. If Paratici’s next signing isn’t a creative midfielder, there should be plenty of questions.
