Some Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Production Moves from Samsung to TSMC

Suara.com – A few days ago, Qualcomm announce chips Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be produced by Samsung.

Recent reports point to a problem that forced Qualcomm to shift some production to TSMC.

According to internal sources, Samsung is said to have failed to meet Qualcomm’s requests.

As a result, the company will make up for the shortfall by shifting some of its production to TSMC.

This raises concerns because the chipset could be affected by differences in the production of TSMC and Samsung.

Moreover, processors made by TSMC are known to be superior to Samsung, both in terms of power efficiency and size.

As reported Gizmochina, Thursday (9/12/2021), a similar case also happened a few years ago on Apple’s iPhone 6s.

At that time, Samsung and TSMC were both manufacturers of the A9 chip.

It is hoped that this issue has been addressed by both chip manufacturers in recent years and that some of the differences have been adjusted.
