Twelve choirs of the Hochschwarzwald group choose Gnter Mller as their new managing director.
The twelve choirs of the Hochschwarzwald group in the Breisgau Choir Association have a new managing director. Gnter Mller. At the general meeting in the Schollacher Brgerhaus they elected Gnter Mller into office and looked back and forth.
Rckblick: The singers have got to know a new era, says group chairwoman Beate Endres. If the world was still okay at the end of 2019, the choir life changed in spring 2020. Before that, the board had organized for the German Choir Festival 2020 in Leipzig, which was canceled as in 2021. Next year, according to Endres, the group will only go to the choir festival with a small delegation, as too few have reported. The benefit group concert in the Kurhaus Titisee was canceled. “That should be a big thing,” said Endres, but Corona threw everything off track. After a long break, there were occasional rehearsals with two or three singers, even singing in small groups. All hoped for Advent concerts – in vain. When they stayed at home, some of the singers noticed that they could do without a choir, Endres pointed out. Only since July has they been singing again, occasional choirs appear.
After the pandemic years 2019 and 2020, the cash balance of the Hochschwarzwald Group was around 500 euros less, showed Joachim Binder in his last cash report.
Outlook: The Hochfirstchor wants to sing the mountain Christmas in Neustdter Mnster and a second time in Bad Drrheim. The choir community Lffingen-Rtenbach-Seppenhofen is giving a happy farewell concert today, Saturday, October 23rd, in the Benedikt-Winterhalder-Halle in Rtenbach, supported by the DaChor Rtenbach and the male choir Ewattingen. Admission is free, says Josef Knpfle, and it is collected for the flood victims in the Ahr valley. Endres announced that the board was considering holding a large group concert with all Chren outdoors in 2022.
Choose: Chairwoman Beate Endres, deputy Josef Knpfle and Ernst Lickert, secretary Bernhard Kirner are confirmed in office. Gnter Mller, who succeeds Joachim Binder, has been elected as the new managing director.
