Tonight (Friday to Saturday), officers from the Neu-Ulm police station identified several road users who were under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
In the first case, officers from the Neu-Ulm police station checked the driver of an e-scooter. The 19-year-old driver was found to have drug-related abnormalities. When asked, he stated that he had recently consumed marijuana.
Later in the evening, a car driver was stopped by another patrol crew. Since he also showed drug-related abnormalities, a rapid drug test was carried out, which came back positive for methamphetamine, THC and amphetamine.
A similar fate befell another car driver, whose rapid drug test reacted positively to THC. During the night, officers at the Neu-Ulm police station also received a report about a driver swerving in a zigzag pattern, who was subjected to a traffic check on Leipheimer Strasse.
Since the car driver also had a strong smell of alcohol, a breathalyzer test was carried out. The test showed a value of around 1.5 per mille, thus confirming the corresponding perception.
A blood sample had to be taken from all four male road users and the sample taken accordingly. After the procedure was completed, the drivers were able to leave the station, but had to walk home.
