Some fans have a big problem with a song on Helene Fischer’s new album

Helene Fischer has released a new album. Instead of hits, there are now traditional children’s songs for the youngest fans. But one song in the selection makes even die-hard Helene fans sit up and take notice.

Helene Fischer released a new album in November. And the name says it all: “The Most Beautiful Children’s Songs” is the title for the youngest of their fans. A press release from Universal says about the band’s new release of the 25 short songs: “With a hand-picked selection of the most beautiful and wonderful children’s songs,” Fischer is starting the start of a whole series for the kids.

For her interpretations, the 40-year-old resorted to classics such as “Hoppe, hoppe, Reiter” or “How beautiful that you were born”. But the “hand-picked” selection makes even die-hard Fischer fans frown at one point.

Fans find the song selection inappropriate: “Just please not with this song”

It is the new interpretation of “Aramsamsam“. The children’s song has been increasingly criticized in recent years because it translates the Arabic language into gibberish. The movements that are danced to also distort the Islamic prayer, say critics.

Helene Fischer already posted this song, including the dance, on her Instagram channel. “The choreo is done!” the mother of a little daughter jokingly wrote below, referring to the recording of the “Helene Fischer Show” in December.

Helene Fischer: Doesn’t song selection represent diversity and tolerance?

Some comments kindly but firmly point out the problematic song selection, which does not represent diversity and tolerance.

“Just please not with this song,” it is “politically really difficult.” Or: “I’m in the show, but can we do something about the song selection?”

In any case, the singer would be well advised to read the comments on her social media channels carefully. The children’s album is scheduled to celebrate its TV premiere on Saturday evening. In the show “Small versus Big” Helene Fischer appears with a children’s choir at prime time on ARD.
