19% are hoping for compensation mechanisms to cover rising energy prices in Latvia, of which 6% reveal that they will receive a wage supplement to cover the rising cost of living, or wage supplements for several months. The remaining 13% declare that they do not have accurate information, but do not rule out receiving bonuses from their employer.

Most often, residents aged 18-29, as well as workers aged 40-49, received wage increases or temporary wage supplements. Workers in Riga, Pierīga and Kurzeme received wage supplements more often, while residents of Zemgale received higher wages or bonuses less often.

The survey data shows that managers from various sectors, skilled workers and skilled specialists received bonuses more often, in addition, people whose monthly income is from 751 euros and above received a salary increase more often, and as of income, the wage supplement was received relatively more often.

The majority of the population, that is 56% of the interviewees, does not hope for compensation mechanisms. About one in five, or 22%, reveal that the company they represent has no plans to help cover the rising costs, while another 34% admit it has not been discussed, but are confident there will be no surcharges.
