Some Arsenal fans have given a mixed reception to the images of William Saliba last night.
The French center-back started for Nice in their 2-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain.
Saliba, who joined the Ligue 1 squad on loan from Arsenal during the winter transfer window, has recovered since returning to his homeland and was awarded the Player of the Month for January.
The 19-year-old officially joined the Gunners in 2019, but has yet to make a competitive appearance since returning to north London last summer after a loan from former club Saint-Etienne.

But there was no indication that Saliba has low confidence by virtue of an incident against Mauricio Pochettino’s team.
The imposing youngster showed great composure for a moment in the first half, keeping his cool under pressure from a PSG player who pressed him deep into his own half.
But wavering in possession put Saliba under pressure in the first place and this is what some Arsenal fans are saying.

Saliba looks very talented with the ball, but we know it. There was talk of the areas of his defensive play that kept him off the team. So all these really nice builds don’t change that.

It is worth noting that he is still just a teenager.
