Some AMD Ryzen 5 7600X processors have 2 CCDs instead of one

New processors AMD Ryzen they use a chiplet architecture, where they have one or two CCDs and an IO chiplet. Basically, a CCD has at most 8 cores, so the 12 and 16 core models logically have two CCDs, while the 6 and 8 core versions only have one CCD. But Youtuber de8auer showed a very interesting thing. While removing the heatsink from the Ryzen 5 7600X, he was in for a big surprise. He expected only one CCD here, but physically there were two.

During the thermal imaging camera test, it became clear that a CCD was malfunctioning and its temperature did not rise under load, so only one is active here. The unanswered question is why is there an inactive CCD. It could be the Ryzen 9 7900X, which had a faulty CCD, but we don’t know for sure. What do you think about this? What could be why AMD sometimes uses two CCDs in the Ryzen 5 7600X?
