Jakarta –
A woman in Somalia, was accidentally shot while at her home. Panic, the bullet hit the lower part of his body, to be precise in his genital area.
Seeing what happened to her, the 24-year-old woman went to Erdoğan Hospital in Mogadishu. There, the doctor confirmed that the two-centimeter bullet was lodged in her clitoris.
One way to get it out is to have surgery. From the results of the CT Scan, the bullet was clearly visible and could be felt when touched directly by medical personnel.
How is the condition after surgery?
The doctor gave her a local anesthetic and carefully removed the bullet in her sex organ. Luckily, the operation was successful and the woman was discharged from the hospital the next day in good condition.
“Thankfully, he didn’t have any complications after undergoing lead surgery, and was discharged the next day in good condition,” said the doctor.
A month after the operation, the woman returned to the hospital for follow-up examinations. He said no complications or side effects occurred after the incident.
The authors say that non-obstetric vulvar trauma, in which the vulva is physically injured while not pregnant, is an extremely rare event. Gunshot wounds to the vulva like these are extremely rare.
“Extra care must be taken not to damage the urethra and pelvic area,” concluded the doctor quoted from Times Now NewsFriday (28/4/2023).
