“The object of my research and creative search is light, reflection and transparency. It resonates with the idea of u200bu200bthe beginning and the Holy Trinity, where the manifestation of the highest intelligence – God is light, the reflection – his creation (nature, creatures). Transparency – as a metaphor for the spirit or consciousness that lives in the space of the highest dimensions”, says the artist about what can be seen in the exhibition.
“2009 “Blood” exhibition at Design Factory, 2011 “Red Code” exhibition in China, 2013 “Someone is watching the virus. Mutations” in Jurmala City Museum, in 2013 “Time Catcher” in Japan, in 2016 “Hierarchy” in Exhibition Hall of Concert Hall “Cēsis”, in 2016 “Kentaurs21” in Taiwan, in 2017 “Angel 2111” in Taiwan, in 2020 “New forms of existence” in Sigulda – these projects of mine so far form a mutual succession, they are like a staircase, where each subsequent project is a continuation of the previous one. The next stage of creative work continues what was started – trying to remember the enigmatic and mysterious intentions of God regarding the evolution of the universe and our civilization as part of it.
The essence of research and research is to integrate all these elements, light, reflection and transparency, into spatial objects. The availability of modern materials allows its implementation. For example, transparency of many layers creates a feeling of many dimensions, shiny mirror plane (concave and convex) – reflection. Both the objects and the materials applied as well as their shape create an object and the illusion of a world of many dimensions,” continues Solveiga.
The “Borderless” exhibit was created with the support of the State Fund for Culture and the Sigulda County Municipality.
