On Tuesday, presenter duo Solveig Kloppen (51) and Tuva Fellman (35) premiere their new love reality show “Love IRL”.
In the program, single and completely normal people with minimal flirting experience will be sent to South Africa in hopes of finding true love, even if dating is very difficult for most attendees.
– Yes, it will be love! We had a good feeling when we left there and we still have that feeling. I didn’t think I would cry as much as I did by going there, Tuva Fellman tells Dagbladet when we meet both her and fellow presenter Kloppen in connection with the premiere.
–
– Lots of tears
There are two women in hand who lead the initiative.
– Lightly touched, yes! Especially after having children. I can start crying just thinking about the dogs sitting alone at the bus stop, me. And in this production there were a lot of tears for both of them. The cameramen also cried along the way, reveals Fellman.
For Kloppen, it wasn’t exactly love at first sight when she met the one who would become her life partner some 20 years ago, he reveals to Dagbladet.
– I first met Kjartan when he interviewed me and Thomas Numme in relation to the Trigger youth program. And then we met at a party for a few years, before she suddenly became single. Then I thought that “that nice guy over there has to be with someone”.
– Yes. But when I saw the two of them next to each other, I thought I must have been the one sitting next to him. Fortunately, she didn’t care either, the 51-year-old laughs.
The popular presenter finally – and happily enough – found happiness with his Kjartan, even though he wasn’t very interested from the start, according to Kloppen.
– No, I don’t think it was. But I remember that whenever I saw him at a party, I wanted to sit next to him. And he was probably mutual in the end.
She says it was she herself who took responsibility and controlled her partner in the “old days”.
– But it took some time before he accepted it. At least he said that, that he didn’t understand it well. In the end I just had to say “hey, hey, what’s going on now, really”? I fell in love with Ronny long before he fell in love with me, she reveals, before her friend and colleague Kloppen adds:
– Tuva and Ronny are made for each other.
But it’s not just Tuva and Ronny who are made for each other, Fellman and Kloppen have to be believed. The two did not know each other before the recording of “Love IRL”, which began a little over six months ago.
They have now become good friends.
– He’s so cute! It’s really cool to make new friends at such an adult age. And it’s also so good that our men have found the tone they have, they act almost like they just fell in love, laughs Fellman.
The fellow presenter, who transfer reported on TV 2’s Warner Bros. Discovery last fall, he says he agrees 100 percent with exactly that.
– Seems like a new love for me and. It’s fun to experiment with new aspects of each other, and it’s been incredibly enjoyable.
– Beautiful and heavy moments
Now they both can’t wait to see how their little “children’s project” is received by the Norwegian people.
– I can not wait to see it! Because there are many beautiful moments, but also many heavy ones. We spent several long evenings in South Africa where we had to make a plan for what we were going to do to resolve different situations, reveals Fellman.
–
Kloppen points out that there were several people who contributed during the production in South Africa.
– We had a good team with us, even a psychologist, so it was certainly not the two of us who kept the ship afloat alone.
