MANCHESTER – Former defender Manchester United, Patrice Evra confirmed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s steps to reserve Donny van de Beek were right. He considered that the Dutch player was not qualified enough in the Red Devils main squad.
De Beek joined Man United from Ajax for a transfer value of 40 million pounds in the 2020 summer transfer market. However, the 23-year-old player has not appeared in the 2020-2021 Premier League since the early minutes.
Van de Beek has always been Solskjaer’s mainstay when Man United competes in the Premier League Cup. When Man United beat Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Champions League on Wednesday 24 October 2020, De Beek only appeared for two minutes.

With reasons like that, Evra said Man United didn’t need Van de Beek. Even so, he stressed that Man United needed a good substitute to win the trophy this season.
