Amazon prime adds today to its programming the series of David Weil “Solos”, with seven chapters interpreted by great figures such as Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway, Helen Mirren, Uzo Aduba, Nicole Beharie, Anthony Mackie, Dan Stevens y Constance Wu.
The series that comes at a time of pandemic touches on the issue of confinement and how each of the characters has to learn to be with their thoughts and connect with loneliness.
From science fiction, set in a future full of technology, each character has a kind of monologue in which they narrate part of their lives. “It invites reflection by exploring the deeper meaning of the human connection through the individual vision of their lives. protagonists, “says the synopsis.
The first chapter is about a scientist who discovers how to travel through time played by Anne Hathaway. In the second, Anthony Mackie is a businessman who finds out that he has little time left to live and buys an eccentric product for his family.
The third chapter is about a student who wants to help others, played by Helen Mirren. The fourth, by Uzo Aduba is about a woman who after a global event forced people to lock up 20 years ago tries to find out if her smart home is manipulating her.
The fifth chapter, by Constance Wu, is about a woman who spends a lot of time in a living room without being sure why she is there. Nicole Beharie, in the sixth, tells the story of Nera, a woman who undergoes a fertilization treatment, but her baby begins to age as soon as it is born.
Morgan Freeman and Dan Stevens appear in the seventh. A young man looks for an old man with Alzheimer’s disease, to provide him with an outlet with which to recover his memory.
