Solomon Islands Report First Cases, Here Are 11 Countries With Zero Corona Cases

KOMPAS.com – Solomon Islands confirmed the first case of infection was positive Covid-19 on Saturday (3/10/2020).

The positive patient is a male student who has just returned from the Philippines earlier this week.

This patient passed three previous tests conducted before departure in the Philippines, but was later confirmed positive on arrival in Solomon.

Prime Minister Sogavare said that with this new case, the steps that the government had prepared for the past eight months would also be activated.

However, Sogavare said there were no plans for a national lockdown at this time.

Prior to this case, 18 Solomon students had indeed been confirmed positive corona virus in the Philippines before boarding plane there.

On Saturday (3/10/2020), the Philippine Ministry of Health reported 2,674 new cases of the coronavirus, the highest daily increase in the last five days.

In addition, 62 new deaths were also reported.

Most countries in the world have reported cases of the corona virus Covid-19 that happened in its territory. An increasing number of cases are still happening every day.
