Solo exhibition of Ilmars Blumbergs / Day

Ilmārs Blumbergs graduated from the State Academy of Arts in 1972 and worked at the Art Theater in Riga until 1984. In the following period he worked individually, operating in areas such as painting, graphics, screen printing, lithography, installation, sculpture, design, set design, costumes, photography, book illustrations, cinema, but also performances and audio recordings. From 1974 to 2013, Ilmārs Blumbergs had more than 25 solo exhibitions in 9 countries, receiving more than 40 major awards. Exhibitions continue to be organized after the artist’s death Bloomberg Foundation. The artist is an officer of the Order of the Three Stars. For 60 years, since 1962, major exhibitions of the artist’s works have been held regularly in Latvia and around the world.
