Solo City Government Exceeds Polio Immunization Target by 100.09%

Solo – The Solo City Government (Pemkot) noted that for the first phase of the National Immunization Week (PIN) Polio had met the target of reaching 100.09 percent. They claim that there is no rejection of polio immunization in the city of Solo, so that children aged 0-7 years can be vaccinated according to target.

Acting Head of the Solo City Health Service, Setyowati, said that the central target, PIN Polio in Solo City, could target 50,115 children from the ages of 0-7 years. In fact, polio immunization in the city of Solo has exceeded the target by 100.09 percent.

“As for the Pusdatin (Data and Information Center) data target, we have a data target from that center of 50,115, our achievement is 100.09 percent,” said Setyowati when contacted detikJateng, Wednesday (24/1/2024).

“This means that everything has been carried out, there were even children or students from outside as guests because our achievement was 100.09 percent as of yesterday,” he continued.

He said, to date there have been no reports of rejection from the people of Solo City regarding polio immunization. Even though the PIN Polio event from January 15-20 initially did not meet 100 percent, it was carried out diligently sweeping for 5 days to target children who had not previously been immunized because they were taking medication.

“Until now there have been no reports of rejection from the public, the data collection that we conveyed at the beginning was actually less than 50,100, but the achievement could exceed 100 percent. Because that’s already sweeping five days. That’s what was done sweepingwhich means tracking down who hasn’t yet,” he said.

He said support from the people of Solo City and from para stakeholder it’s already very good. Starting from community health center officers, PKK, school officials, and cadres in each region.

However, it may have been missed because immunization is also carried out for children from outside the city of Solo, children who have not received the polio vaccine can still come to the Community Health Center to be immunized.

“For example, if there is still something that has been missed, you can get the vaccine immediately, you can go to the Puskesmas because now the PIN post is no longer open, because the time is over. So, then go to the Puskesmas immediately. Hopefully everyone has been vaccinated, because according to the data, right “That’s all, yes, but who knows, maybe I missed something,” he said.
