Sollertinsky: A Living Poem of Music and Absence

That’s the story of Sollertinsky, what he left, what he was, what he represented in my life. He is Marta, and two of her friends tell us, two women who can become music, words in the wind, tears of imprecise origin. And the music is that of Shostakovich, Trio no. 2 op. 67, and a dialogue of bodies, of dance, is established, where it is necessary that you support me, that you ensure that I do not dissolve in memory, in sand that falls without filling gaps, but that impregnates me with your sensations, handprints on the mirrors, past and present, the future without you is indeterminate.

It was you. Martha, Sollertinsky, my father, my mother, my friend, my partner, my son, myself. The memory does not return because you have never left my thoughts, and even less my feelings, you are the soul of things, of light, of darkness, of silence, you were just as I am imagining you.

And you are again in front of me, with me, spinning in this choreography of support and sustenance, returning to the time where we once went.

Julio Provencio, author and directorcomposes a living poem, a concert of symphony and bodies, of music and absence, midnight waiting. Accompanying him on this journey to sensations are three performers of the polyphonic voice, piano, cello and violin, Samuel Martín, María Cardiel and Fabiola Sebastián that wrap the story in a garment of warm notes that can be caught with the hand.

The interpreters, Irene Doher, Macarena de Rueda, Sergio Jaraiz, Cristina Subirats, Paola Cabello Schoenmakers and Fabián Augusto Gómezthey activate enough energy to not let go, to face death, to not despair and fall into apathy and reluctance.

I may call you many times, and I will receive your silence in response, despite the friendship that united us, but a strange force makes me not remain silent and tell us about it, in this multidisciplinary montage of the arts, dance, music, interpretation, plastic, light, shadows, time and communication, which do not stop, even if there is no longer coverage.
