Soldiers are closer to Russia than ever. If they miss, things go very badly.

KUPJANSK, UKRAINE (Aftenposten): Putin’s soldiers are retreating south. Something very different is happening along the northeastern part of the front.

When driving to Russia, it’s best to keep a firm grip on the wheel. The roads are littered with potholes and wheels marking undetonated explosives, half-burned and broken trees clearly indicating where not to drive.

The fields we pass through look like something out of a WW1 movie. Muddy trenches stretch across the fields. It is a landscape of death. But what we see is also a great victory.
