Sold out clubs and crowds of fans. After years, the popular singing duo returns

Rapper Abde and singer Sharlota will soon release a new joint song to the world, after many years since their last collaboration. Why did they decide to record a joint song again and how do they remember their beginnings, when they brought discos and clubs all over the Czech Republic to a boil with their music? They revealed this in the Breakfast column Life in the Stars.

With their songs and immediacy, Sharlota and Abde managed to start almost any party. They kept it simple and the result was sold out clubs and crowds of fans. “It was something new, ten years ago, rap was quite strictly structured, we were young and uninhibited. It was a crazy period, but I’m very happy about it,” said rapper Jakub Abdeslam alias Abde.

“The magic was probably in the fact that we did it emotionally and we didn’t expect anything from it. We never said that we were making music that should convey some extra values to people. We wanted people to have fun with our music,” described Šarlota Fratinová aka Charlotte.

Now, after a roughly eight-year hiatus, the pair have recorded another joint work. “I didn’t even expect that we would create any songs together, but the idea came to life somehow spontaneously. I’m very glad that Charlotte went for it,” mentioned Abde. The track will be released shortly, but you can already play a short taste in the report at the top of the article.

Together they reminisced about how it all started. “I sang in a club where Kuba played and rapped. He thought then that the girl sings well, so he approached me. We made the first song and then we didn’t see each other for maybe half a year. Suddenly Kuba called with the song Do rána, which we recorded. I still remember him calling me saying I have to come because we’re shooting a clip and I say it’s not possible because I’m going to camp,” said Sharlota.

In the end, she didn’t miss the filming of the clip for the song Do rána and also made it to her beloved camp. More tracks and sold out clubs followed. “For me, it was such a satisfaction. I struggled to fit in all my childhood, of course I had a lot of friends, but I grew up as the son of an Arab in the 90s here in the Czech Republic. And I only managed to fit in thanks to those songs,” noted Abde .

At the same time, the rapper recently shocked his fans with a drastic transformation. “I haven’t been at my best in the last few years, so I started going for walks, gradually lost some pounds and started working out. I feel more confident and healthier,” he said.

Both of them have moved somewhere and matured in about ten years since the rocket start of their careers. We’ll see if the latest single from Abde and Sharlota gets fans again.
