solar panels above highways, not on fertile land – Agro Plovdiv – 2024-09-24 09:40:00

Germany is building a solar roof over a highway in a ground-breaking experiment in the future of green energy. In this way, a double use of the space is achieved, while at the same time ensuring the protection of the road surface from atmospheric influences, noise reduction and energy independence from fossil fuels, writes the BG Nauka platform.

The problem with solar parks in our country is gaining momentum. Many people are unhappy that solar panels are “grown” on fertile arable land, instead of fruits and vegetables, and any other kind of crops.

The idea of solar panels over roads is not new, as in China and in North Korea similar facilities already exist. France also put solar panels, but not on a highway, but on a secondary road.

The world’s first magnetic cable car was opened in China at the end of 2017. This road section is part of the ring road around Qinan, the capital of Shan Province in the east t on the floor. The top layer is made of a reinforced material, designed to withstand heavy loads and allowing light to pass through.

Last year in France, it was the first time that black panels were tested. There, however, it goes in for a smaller road with a much lower load.

The solar panels, which cover 5,875 square meters, can produce up to 1 million kilowatt-hours of energy per year – exactly for the needs of about 800 households. They are called by the company that created the item.

The electricity produced by the cell is used to power the lights, the boards, the surveillance cameras, the lamps in the tunnels and the toll booths. Excess energy is wasted in the network. In addition, the road will melt snow and ice, electric cars can be stopped in motion, and internet access is provided.
