– Sohn Hak-gyu, former Minsaeng Party representative, made a bitter voice to President Moon Jae-in. Regarding the controversy over the disciplinary action of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol and his successor to the Minister of Justice, he stressed that he should be humble with President Moon.
On the 31st, former CEO Son posted a post on his Facebook page that looks back on this year. After losing in the general election in April, he said, “I had a time of repentance by blaming my shortcomings.”
He said, “We have to repent from President Moon,” he said, saying that a difficult year should be ended with repentance. He said, “Don’t try to win a small fight. As director Park Hang-seo said,’You have to lose well when you lose.'”
“If you suffered from the Yoon Seok-yeol situation, you should accept it humbly,” said former CEO Son, and said, “I apologize to the people as the right of human resources, but the follow-up personnel of the Justice Minister are read only as saying that they will continue fighting.”
In addition, former CEO Son suggested to President Moon to prepare for national unity. The pardon for former President Lee Myung-bak and former President Park Geun-hye is the beginning of penance. He said, “In Korea, one of the world’s top 10 economic powers and a model country for democratization, arresting two immediate presidents should not be done for national interests, such as national face, security, and economic activities,” he said. “If there are legal restrictions, first release them. And proceed with the amnesty process as soon as possible.”
Former President Son referred to the late President Kim Dae-jung and former South African President Nelson Mandela and suggested that he should shake his hands even from the temptation of’revenge’. He said, “You have to get rid of your obsessions,” he stressed, “An obsession is not a belief. An obsession that is misunderstood as a belief is really dangerous, it’s just self-righteousness.”
