Sohag Nursing organizes an educational seminar on reproductive health as part of the Bedaya Initiative

The Nursing College sent BSohag University An educational conference for female students in University City about reproductive health, in the conference hall at the University City headquarters for female students on the old campus. This was said by Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, the President of the University, stressing that the conference comes within the educational and awareness-raising activities organized by the college within the framework of the presidential campaign “A New Beginning for building the Egyptian man,” launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, with the aim of developing the Egyptian citizen, his skills and develop abilities, and improve the standard of living.

Dr. Ghani Abdel Nasser, Dean of the College, explained that the conference aimed to increase health awareness among female students and provide correct information about some of the wrong health practices that are spread in society. Dr. Thuraya Muhammad Mahmoud, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development, was present at the conference, and Dr. Amani Ali Ahmed, Head of Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health Nursing.

The conference covered several important topics, including introducing students to the concept of reproductive health and how to deal with related health problems, as well as training on self- breast examination and raising awareness of the importance of early detection of breast tumors. The concept of personal hygiene and its importance in preventing the spread of disease was also presented, and various tips and guidelines were given on how to maintain personal hygiene and the cleanliness of the surrounding environment in general. .

200 female students from university cities participated in the conference, which shows the university’s interest in promoting health awareness among young people and supporting community health in general.
