The Gabonese agricultural development company (Sogada) has just set up a cell manufacturing plant in Libreville.
According to the Gabon Actu website, more than 2,500 cells are produced per hour in this factory to support the development of SOGADA’s poultry production. Indeed, according to an article published on the Gabon Actu website, Hervé Patrick Opiangah, Managing Director (ADG) of SOGADA explains that: « When we produce table eggs, systematically to market them in supermarkets or even elsewhere, we need Alvéoles to store them » and add: “This project to create a cell manufacturing plant is fundamentally ecological, because we recycle all types of paper that we transform into cells; it will lead us to organize collections in different districts of greater Libreville and in the interior of the country because cardboard remains a raw material on which we are supposed to rely to produce more”, he explained.
The site continues that six (06) young Gabonese were trained in Türkiye, with the company that manufactured the said machines to ensure the sustainable operation and maintenance of the plant. ” They spent 04 months of immersion and learning there to assimilate this transfer of technology. Other young people will be trained in time, to add to the 40 working in the factory. More than a hundred people are involved in collecting cardboard, the raw material, across the country ».
As a reminder, Sogada is a factory that produces more than 2 million eggs with its 50,000 laying hens. This new plant created will help reduce purchasing costs.
