Sofyan Djalil Grateful to be Replaced by Hadi Tjahjanto as Minister of ATR

Sofyan Djalil officially left his post as Minister of ATR/BPN. Sofyan mentioned many similarities between himself and the new Minister of ATR/BPN, Hadi Tjahjanto.

“First of all, I have many similarities with Pak Hadi,” said former Minister of ATR/BPN Sofyan Djalil in his remarks at the Sertijab ceremony at the Office of the Ministry of ATR/BPN in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

Sofyan said the first similarity between him and Hadi was that he was more than 40 years old. Then, the second similarity is that they both have mustaches.

“The first thing we have in common is that we are both over 40 years old, one more and one more. The second one both has a mustache but I always had a meeting when Pak Hadi was commander in chief I always whispered I was just jealous that Pak Hadi’s mustache was thicker than the mustache me,” he said.

He said he was grateful when he learned that Hadi Tjahjanto was his successor as Minister of ATR/BPN. He said he immediately gave two thumbs up to President Joko Widodo (Widodo) for the appointment of Hadi Tjahjanto.

“Yesterday, Mr. Minister, when I was called by the President, Mr. Sofyan said bla bla bla, I asked who was replacing me, ‘Pak Hadi’, I was spontaneous and both were Mr. ‘Thank God, sir, two thumbs up’,” he said.
