I worked, let’s say over 10 years ago, with Wine to play. Only then did it not work so much that I kept trying.
Now 4 years ago my new PC switched from Windows to Linux, but I was curious as to what Windows games I could still play on Linux. I was amazed at how many Windows games could actually run flawlessly on Linux. Things like Nvidia Fur, an Nvidia extension, used in Far Cry 4 on animals, worked well.
It is and remains great that there are developers who can write one level of emulation, to allow an app to run in a completely different environment. I also have the same with the DosBox DOS emulator and Commodore 64 Vice emulator.
