The Ukrainian diving team won the first license for the Olympics in Paris as part of the 2024 World Championships.

About it reports “Community Sport”.

It is noted that this happened following the results of qualification in the women’s 10-meter platform jumping. Two Ukrainians competed in this discipline: 21-year-old Sofia Lyskun and 14-year-old Karina Glyzhina. To qualify for the Olympics, according to the rules, Ukrainians had to be in the top 12 best athletes among those who had not previously guaranteed themselves a license.

In qualifying, Sofia Liskun showed the 14th result – this was enough to qualify for Paris 2024. Karina Glyzhina finished the selection 28th.

Let us recall that on January 4, 2024 it became known that The IOC did not allow Russians and Belarusians for the 2024 Youth Winter Olympics.

It was also reported that the International Olympic Committee officially invited 203 countries to take part in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, excluding Russia and Belarus from the list.
