Sofia will become the musical capital of Bulgaria from October 4 to 6, 2024 with Sofia Guitar Fest 2024 – a three-day festival with free entry that will bring together native guitar virtuosos and amateur musicians. The culmination of the event, realized with the support of the Metropolitan Municipality, will be on October 5. Then the master classes of Prof. Dr. Tsvetan Nedyalkov from “Ku-Ku Band” and Dimitar Karnev from D2 will be held.
On the same day, from 5:00 p.m., there will be a spectacular guitar flashmob in the park of the NDK in front of Kino Cabana, in which the participants will play alongside music stars. Organizers will provide advance sheet music to all registrants and guarantee a place for all registrants. Participants must bring their own guitars to participate in the experience.
The program will include some of the most beloved Bulgarian bands, including PIF with vocalist Vlado Mihailov, Dee Stoned – the new project of Deyan Kamenov (Dido), “Tornado” with a tribute to Bon Jovi, as well as young talents Filip Donkov and Jupiter 7.
In addition to a strong concert line-up, the festival will also offer numerous activities for all ages, such as free guitar lessons for beginners, art zones, a music bazaar, games and fan spaces. Special attention will also be paid to the youngest visitors with guitar lessons for children up to 6 years old and a music workshop.
