LAKE LOUISE. Italian skier Sofia Goggio won the inaugural Super-G season of the World Cup. She celebrated a winning hat-trick at Lake Louise, Canada, after triumphing in both conventions on Friday and Saturday.
The Swiss Lara Gutová-Behramiová finished second, the defender of the small globe lagged behind the winner by 11 hundred seconds, the third place went to the Austrian Mirjam Puchnerová on Sunday (+ 0.44 s).

Goggio showed a predatory ride on the verge of risk, while she gained decisive hundreds in the lower sliding passage. The 27-year-old Italian has already won 14th in the prestigious series, the fourth in super-G.

“Today is an incredible day. It was a challenge for me, last season I did not know how to set the Super-G properly after the downhill. I am happy that it has come out now. Of all three weekend triumphs, this one is the most beautiful,” she told ORF.
American Mikaela Shiffrinová placed sixth (+ 0.58 s) and increased her lead at the top of the overall World Cup standings over Slovakia Petra Vlhová. He currently has a good 65 points.
The defender of the big globe Vlhová prescribed a break during the Olympic season. Moritzi and Val d’Isere and the next one in the World Cup will not appear until December 21 in a giant slalom in Courchevel, France.
