Sofia Coppola’s new film “One The Rocks”, starring Bill Murray and Rashida Jones – A24 / Apple
Three years after his last film, The preys, but especially 16 years after the service Lost in Translation, director Sofia Coppola returns
with a new movie… And Bill Murray. The actor is indeed the star ofOn The Rocks, the story of a young mother (Rashida Jones, seen in Parks and Recreation) who reconnects with her old playboy father (Bill Murray therefore) while her husband (Marlon Wayans) is very (too?) absent. The first trailer was unveiled by independent studio A24, and from Tokyo to New York, you can feel a vibe Lost in Translation. To be confirmed when it is released in October at the cinema and on Apple TV + in the United States – no information yet for France.

On The Rocks is one of Apple’s earliest film productions, which signed a multi-film deal with A24, and Sofia Coppola’s first platform collaboration.
Another is already planned, the serial adaptation of the book Beautiful weddings by American author Edith Wharton, still for Apple TV +.
