/ world today news/ “Pirotska” street in the capital will look different on August 19. The third edition of the “Sofia breathes” festival has set itself the ambitious task of turning it into an arena of visual arts, the organizers report, btv reports.
The motto of the unique outdoor exhibition, which can be seen by any visitor to “Pirotska” between 16:00 and 21:00 on Sunday, this time is “Winds of Colors”.
Fine art, photography, design, sculpture will be the highlight of the third edition of the renowned festival. The area between Knyaginya Maria Luiza and Stefan Stambolov boulevards will host promising artists such as Desislava Terzieva, who will show her paper works and give basic lessons to willing visitors.
We will also see the socially provocative illustrations and photographs of Hristo Trenev, the ink and coffee drawings of Maria Lvchieva, the knitting of Diana and Nikolay Angelovi, the thematic studios of the “Colorful World” Center for Culture and Art. The series of paintings with ostriches, sensationalized around the video of one of this summer’s musical hits, will be presented by its author, Nora Ampova.
The organizers will not betray the provocative taste of their initiatives this time either. Any visitor to the festival will be able to participate in the creation of a book. It will contain words or sentences chosen by the visitors from their favorite books, as well as the illustrations of the initiator-artist Kalina Hristova.
Visitors will also get to know the author of the new “Sofia breathes” logo. The more curious will be able to see the disappearing architectural elements of the capital, thanks to Anton Naydenov’s photographs. Alexandra Ramirez’s provocative canvases can also be seen this Sunday at Pirotska.
