Et new year is underway, and fortunately it also means the premiere of many new series that we have been waiting for a long time – and among them are “Lykkeland” season two on NRK and «Delete Me» sesong to on Viaplay.
– Extreme sports in planning
In the former fiction series, which deals with the Norwegian oil adventure in Stavanger in the 70s, plays among others actress Pia Tjelta (44), while in the latter series it is the daughter Sofia Tjelta Sydness (20) who has one of the main roles. Sofia’s father is actor Kyrre Haugen Sydness (49).
KK met Pia Tjelta in connection with the press launch of “Lykkeland” season two, and it is a clearly proud mother who now sees her daughter in the follow-up season of the teenage drama series “Delete me”, who won best photo and best clip during the Golden Route in 2021.
– What is it like for you as a mother, who has been in the acting industry for a number of years, to now have a daughter who is on her way into the same industry?

– I have completely given up on resisting it, because I see that she loves it so hard. I think I have the best job in the world! says Pia KK.
– Has there been opposition from you parents?
– Lost the feeling in half the face
– Both Sofia’s dad and I were at first like “Sofia, can you please just become a lawyer or something else instead?”, Because you do not recommend your child to go into a life with potential rejection every other day, she says honest to KK, and continues:
– Where you are all the way dependent on others wanting you for something. You have to have a little backbone to handle it, and you have to be able to drive yourself artistically – if, for example, you are not elected.

Full support from home
But when the daughter expressed that it really is acting she wants to focus on, she received full support from home.
– Now I’m just happy that she will do something that, if nothing else, I know will give her a rich life. That she should be allowed to play as both I and her father do, Pia continues to KK.

– Is there anything you advise her against in terms of the acting industry?
– Well. My fad is that she should have the education anyway, and now she is taking a bachelor’s degree at Westerdals on the acting line there, so then mother is happy!

“Delete me” is created by the Norwegian director Marie Kristiansen (39), and in season two of the teenage drama she deals with young people who sell intimate pictures online.
Reveals canapé tricks from behind the scenes
– It feels absolutely fantastic to be part of a new season of Delete me. I really felt that we created something unique the first season, and that we told an important story to a young audience. That I now get my first lead role is both frightening and fantastic, Sofia has stated in a press release in connection with the launch of the TV series.

– What do you think after seeing her in “Delete Me”, Pia?
– I’m proud of her no matter what she had done! says Pia to KK.
– I am very little stopped on the street
Pia Tjelta, who has been in full-time work through the corona years, tells KK that she and her daughter often spar both when it comes to work and private life.
– We save a lot! And we talk about everything. She has grown up, and turns 21 in September! she continues to KK.
Pia Tjelta also has twins Jonathan and Agnes (6) with her fiancé Oddgeir Thune (43). They have been a couple since 2015 and he too is an actor.
“Land of Happiness” premiered on NRK on Sunday 2 January, while «Delete me» will not premiere on Viaplay until the summer of 2022.
