At that time, he was cleaning in the departure waiting room of Soetta Airport terminal 2E. Then, Halimah found a brown wallet lying on a chair on Friday (10/29/2021) at around 10.00 WIB.
“After that, I immediately secured it and handed it over to airport security. When I checked the contents, there was a check worth Rp. 35.9 billion, a passport, and five savings books,” he said when contacted. detik.com, Friday (10/29/2021).
Halimah said, there were two checks in the wallet. However, the other check is already in the worst condition and the value has not yet been stated.
Halimah said that of the five savings, the value was quite fantastic. However, he did not know in detail the nominal money in the five savings books.
“Until now, I have not received further information from airport security whether it has been returned to the owner or not,” he added.
He said he had to take responsibility and it was his job to return the passengers’ belongings. For him, honesty is number one.
“No matter how small it is, we must return and report the discovery to security,” he said.
For her honesty, Halimah received an award from PT Angkasa Pura. He has won two awards. One of them is the promotion award.
“Thank God, from the cleaning service supervisor to the cleaning service spv. I am very grateful for this sustenance. Surely everyone will feel happy for this appreciation given to me,” he said.
Even so, the resident of Bojong Renged, Tangerang Regency, who has worked for ten years, did not know of another award that was promised to be given to him.
“I didn’t know it was still a company secret. I already knew it was promoted. But he said there was another award,” he said.
Halimah said that this kind of incident often happened. He claimed to always return and report to security the items he found.
