Erick officially became an honorary member of the Banser after attending the entire series of basic education and training (Diklatsar) as a requirement to become a member of the Banser at the Citra Alam Jagakarsa School, South Jakarta, Sunday (28/11).
GP Central Executive Chairman Ansor Luqman Hakim confirmed the information. According to him, Ansor is an open organization, so anyone, including Erick, can become a member of Banser.
“So, what I can respond to is, Mr. Erick Thohir is a member of Ansor. Ansor is an open organization, anyone who agrees with Ansor’s AD/ART then registers, and follows the existing process, with open arms Ansor accepts,” said Luqman when contacted CNNIndonesia.com, Sunday (28/11).
According to Luqman, his party did not invite or invite Erick to become an honorary member of Banser. He said that Erick had his own initiative to register as a member of Banser.
“Anyone can also register with Ansor to become a member, later Ansor will form a team to see its track record as long as the conclusion is good, it will be accepted as well,” he explained.
Meanwhile, in his written statement, Erick admitted that being a member of Banser was an honor. Moreover, Erick also had to go through a series of training and education before being appointed by the Head of the National Coordination Unit (Kasatkornas) Banser Hasan Basri Sagala.
“This is a tremendous honor that is infinite for me because I can become a big Banser family,” said Erick.
Erick said Banser had been committed to jihad for the Republic of Indonesia. Erick said that Banser also highly respects diversity and differences which are strengths for Indonesia.
“With our diversity, with our differences, that’s our strength. Even it goes into our blood. We have to make sure that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is a fixed price,” said Erick.
Erick admitted that he often discussed with Banser’s extended family in an effort to improve and maintain the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia in the future. For Erick, efforts to maintain and advance Indonesia are noble goals and are useful for future generations.
“God willing, I will donate my mind, my energy, my ability to the truth for the welfare of society,” he said.
According to him, Indonesia is currently still facing challenges due to the pandemic, both in the health and economic sectors. Erick said that mutual cooperation and collaboration became the nation’s strength in getting out of the pandemic and being able to become a winning nation in the future.
“Therefore, we continue to work on how society in general has the opportunity to advance to class, not only to advance to class economically, but to advance to class as a unified nation because that is the Indonesia we know,” said Erick.
