Victory in Ljungby last Friday and Södertälje had the chance to secure the hockey Allsvenskan contract at home on Sunday.
But Troja-Ljungby had not given up hope of staying in the series. William Von Barnekow gave the visitors the lead in the first period – and then it really took off.
The Smålanders scored three goals in eight minutes in the second period – and after only one minute played in the third came 5-0.
Troja-Ljungby won in the end with 6-1 and thus reduces the match series to 2-3.
The next qualifying match will be played on Wednesday in Ljungby.
