The party of Kiril Petkov and Asen Vasilev may turn out to be the winner in the early parliamentary elections, which, apparently, will be held this fall, Boryana Dimitrova, manager of the sociological agency “Alfa Research”, announced in an interview with BNR.
“We continue the change” took the wrong approach of searching for individual MPs, which did not bring them success, she pointed out.
“This is an incorrect political strategy. This was an example of wishful thinking. The proposition that a large majority of 140 MPs is possible is also wishful thinking. We have no indication that a different situation is possible in the next parliament. It is possible that the PP will be again first political force, but with a fragile majority over the second, third and with a rather fragmented parliament,” Dimitrova said.
She emphasized that the latest sociological data indicate that there is a “taming of the growth of “Vazrazhdane”: “The division of the left-Russophile space between BSP, “Bulgarian Rise” of Stefan Yanev and “Vazrazhdane”. Another clear trend visible from the sociological survey is the continuing regression of “There is such a people”.
“Usually, the parliament is controlled by the rulers, and the street – by the opposition, and in Bulgaria we have the paradoxical situation where it is the opposite”, stated Boryana Dimitrova.
According to the sociologist, the “Very Good 5” rating given to his government by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov is a sign that early elections are on the horizon.
According to the sociologist, politicians, making their statements now, should clearly know that after the elections they will have to think again about what type of majorities can be made. “Because behind these majorities are a certain type of voters. The better they know their voters, the more adequate their policy can be,” explained Dimitrova.
