Socialist Party emerges victorious in municipal elections in Álora, recapturing absolute majority

He Socialist Party wins the elections in the municipality of Álora and recovers the absolute majority already granted in the 2019 elections. In this way, they add five councilors, obtaining a total of 13. In total there have been 4,097 voters who have opted for the candidacy of Francisco Jesús Martínez Subires, 60.54% of the electorate.

He PP has lost a councilor, obtaining a total of 3 and 1,236 votes. However, it continues as the second most voted force; while Con Andalucía has 615 supports and 1 seat. In this way, the municipal corporation, which has 17 seats to choose from, is completed.

This Sunday, May 28, 9,986 voters have been called to the polls in the municipality of Álora. A total of 6,886 have attended; while the remaining 3,104 have abstained.

A total of seven games politicians have attended these municipal elections in Álora: PP, PSOE, IU, Cs, Vox, Por Mi Pueblo and TúPatria. There are three more than in the last municipal elections, due to the irruption in this appointment of Vox, Por Mi Pueblo and the TúPatria party. In the 2019 municipal elections, the winner in Álora was also the Socialist Party, although he lost 4% of the vote, which meant one councilor less than in the previous legislature. In total, the PSOE gained 2,929 supports, 43% of the electorate, which earned it eight councilors.
