The “FrauenOase” is a low-level communication and advice center and a meeting place for women whose lives are “on the street”. It is run by the association “Frau sucht Gesundheit”
The offer is aimed at women with drug addiction, with mental illness and those affected by poverty. Some visitors to the “frauenOase” are active in sex work and some are homeless or live in precarious living conditions. The FrauenOase offers harm reduction and health promotion as well as person-centred and low-level advice and support.
To complement our team of five, we are looking for an employee with a workload of 60% as of January 1, 2024 or by agreement.
Your actions:
- Contact point support during opening hours from Sunday to Friday, in winter also on Saturdays (opening times can be found on the home page)
- Low level advice and support during and outside opening hours and triage to other offers
- Collaboration and networking with social Basel
- Outreach work in places close to the scene in the city and in other centres
- Person-centered relationship work
- Planning activities with visitors
- Minor: administrative duties and public relations
Your profile:
- You are a social worker or educator, social support worker, nursing specialist or have equivalent training
- You know Basel social well
- You like to take responsibility
- You value working in a small team
- They represent a grateful and resourceful attitude
- You have tolerance, assertiveness and high social skills
- You have good computer skills (user)
- You like to deal with specific gender issues
- Professional experience in dealing with mental illness and in gender specific work is an advantage
