Social Security Administration Announces September Payment Schedule for Retirees

The next month, which starts the following week (we mean September) brings with it a new wave of paymentswhich includes the Social Security Administration (SSA). In total, there are three checks that the organization will send for retirement.

The Social Security Administration has a pre-defined schedule, which is your guide to sending benefits to millions of people in the United States. For those who receive retirement income, the payment date has to do with the beneficiary’s birthday.

Checks are sent each month the second, third and fourth Wednesday. And the day of payment will be established according to your day of birth. This is how the Social Security payment schedule for retirees would look for the month of September:

-Wednesday, September 13: On this day, those beneficiaries who were born between the first and the tenth day of the month will receive their payments.
-Wednesday, September 20: Through this route, those beneficiaries who were born between the 11th and 20th of each month will receive their payments.
-Wednesday, September 27: This route will receive their payments to those beneficiaries who were born after the 21st of each month and towards the end.

Due to the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), the maximum benefit for Social Security beneficiaries was set at $4,555 dollars, while the average check is around $1,827 dollars per month.

To collect Social Security retirement benefits, you must have met the minimum requirement of doing “sufficient work,” that is, having obtained the credits requested by Social Security. These are 40 credits.

By the year 2022, people earned a Social Security credit for every $1,510 in covered income. You can only earn a maximum of four Social Security credits for each year worked. To earn the maximum of four credits, you must have income of $6,040. This means that to achieve 40 credits, you must work for at least 10 years in a row.

Payments that Social Security makes for the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will be deposited every first day of every month.
