In recent years, there has been an increase in anti-Semitic acts across Europe. Despite the initiatives of member countries in the face of the worrying increase in threats against the Jewish community, the situation is worsening. In France, since 2017, the number of anti-Semitic acts has increased by 121%. In England, they more than doubled, with 18% of religious hate crimes targeting Jews. 147 anti-Semitic acts were recorded in French-speaking Switzerland in 2020 and in the same year Germany recorded its highest level of anti-Semitic acts since the police began their census in 2000.
