Social media campaign against Justice Babar is malicious, Islamabad High Court

Web Desk: The Islamabad High Court termed the campaign against Justice Babar Sattar on social media as false and malicious and said that Justice Babar has never been a citizen of another country.
In a statement issued by the Islamabad High Court, it has been said that confidential information was repeatedly posted on social media, the post also includes the travel documents of the honorable judge, his wife and children.
Justice Babar Sattar’s wife and children’s travel documents, private information are being spread with baseless allegations.
The declaration also states that Justice Babar Sattar has never held citizenship of any country except Pakistan. Justice Babar Sattar graduated from Oxford University, then Harvard Law School. He worked as a lawyer with an American law firm.
In the announcement of Islamabad High Court, it has been said that Justice Babar Sattar was given permanent citizenship i.e. green card in the United States for exceptional abilities.
According to the High Court announcement, Justice Babar Sattar’s wife and children have dual citizenship of Pakistan and the United States. His wife and children lived in the United States until 2021. Lives in Islamabad.
According to the announcement, Justice Babar Sattar informed the Chief Justice Islamabad High Court about his American citizenship on his appointment.
