Actually, she never wanted to go back: Now “Star Wars” heroine Daisy Ridley has reported to her Instagram fans after a six-year break.

Daisy Ridley (29) has reported back on social media. The former “Star Wars” heroine shut down her Instagram account in 2016. At that time, she had previously posted a post in support of victims of gun violence and had been attacked for it.
Now the actress has surprised Instagram with a new post. She shared a photo of herself apparently sipping a cup of tea in a bathrobe during a spa break. She also revealed that she is now saying yes: “I’m coming out of social media hibernation refreshed, recharged and ready for what I call my ‘Year of Yes’.”
In 2017, Ridley explained in a “Glamour” interviewthat she wants to protect her privacy through her social media abstinence: “It’s not good for me personally. I’m just not equipped for it. I’m super sensitive – not too sensitive, but I really feel it.”
She added at the time: “I have to come first because if I’m not healthy – I’ve been struggling with panic attacks for the last year – if I’m not mentally healthy or I’m exhausted from sharing so much, I’ll be nothing have more left over when people need something from me.”
Back with fun
In 2019, she declared on the show “AM to DM” that she never wanted to go back to social media. The bad atmosphere there shouldn’t be given any more attention, she explained. Now she apparently wants to put herself in a good mood on Instagram. In another new post Ridley shared hilarious photos of herself appearing in famous paintings: “I’m trying to remember how to use this app. Maybe it’s a good thing I didn’t have an Insta during the quarantine, otherwise I would have posted these. Well yeah , I’ll post them anyway,” Ridley added.
In any case, the social media break didn’t seem to have harmed her career. In addition to her main role as Rey in the latest “Star Wars” trilogy, she has also appeared in “Murder on the Orient Express”, “Ophelia” and “Chaos Walking”.
