Libreville, January 1, 2023 (AG) – The President of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, reiterated in his speech to the nation on December 31, his desire to continue the Complete streaming program for the construction of social housing, in addition to that of the new city of Gabon, respectful of environmental standards.
«In harmony with the order of Gabonese architects, we envisaged the construction of the dazzling and proud city which will respect environmental standards, and will be worthy of the greatest modern capitals. While awaiting the materialization of this project, the government will continue the program of construction of social housing adapted to the realities of Gabonese people and will complete those unfinished », declared the president of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
On this issue, the Minister of Economy and Participations, Mays Mouissi, announced the acceleration of the MovinguI urban development project, located in Okolassi in the commune of Ntoum.
This project, supported by the Ministry of the Economy and Participations through the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, is in line with the policy of the new authorities of access to property for the greatest number of fellow citizens.
Land with fully developed land titles (earthworks, access roads, water and electricity connection) will be accessible to the most modest social classes. These will be serviced plots of 500 m2 over an area of 385 hectares, we learned.
The land issue is a priority for the President of the Transition. This is why the Minister of Economy and Participations, Mays Mouissi, initiated Land Conservation to simplify the procedures in order to deliver land titles (TF) to Gabonese people.
In September 2023, 127 TFs were issued, compared to 95 in August 2023, an increase of 33.7%. Last October, 290 TF were allocated to Gabonese people, compared to 127 the previous month, an increase of 128%.
However, the issuance of TFs saw a decline in November 2023 compared to October of the same year to stand at 133.
